History of Hotel Parque Central

The mystic corner of Padro and Neptune seemed always fated to have its charm. This place was the heart of Havana of the years 50 and 60 where the orchestras Cuban very well-known like the Aragon and Enrique Jorrín among other appropriated of the sound world.

Among the most recent constructions in the centennial area the Hotel Parque Central is located, lifted in this located one privileged of the historical center of the city that allows him to benefit also of its proximity with the most diverse attractiveness.

The Hotel Parque Central occupies the whole block of the street Neptune between the intercepciones of Prado and Zulueta, its main facade rises where same they existed several immovableses, the most important for its marked colonial style occupied the angle formed by the mystic corner (Grassland and Neptune).

These arcades stayed after having been demolished the old constructions and they incorporated inside the novel project that allows to enjoy and to admire the recovery of the cultural securities of the area. One day it was imposed the abandonment, the gradual deterioration of the old property that point livened up this place, it ended up transforming it into the years '90 in a ruin.

In 1995 it was hired the CENCREM for the restoration of the facade of the XVIII century that would be assimilated inside the future hotel.

Once approved the proposal for the Plan Teacher of Rehabilitation of the City, was taken to effect the project of the Hotel Parque Central proposing its integration in the new architectural context. The new Hotel Parque Central opened their doors in May of 1999.

In very little time the Hotel Parque Central became a center of tourist attraction; its comfort and the exquisite decoration in their interior areas make's it more elegant and magnificent at the same time.

Located in the historical center of the Havana, a mixture of the past and the future, harmoniously I flow by hand, it was the result of the project of the Hotel Parque Central.

I am "poco a poco" researching and updating it with the aim to provide as complete as possible record of the hotel's ancient and recent history; bearing in mind that the goings-on today may one day be of historical interest.
